Grupo Financiero Banorte commemorated its 125th anniversary in Monterrey, the city where it was originally founded in 1899 as Banco Mercantil de Monterrey. Carlos Hank González, Chairman of the Board, led the opening ceremony alongside 125 employees to honor Banorte’s heritage, assess its current achievements, and share a vision for its future within Mexico’s banking sector.

The celebration also marked a decade since Carlos Hank González and CEO Marcos Ramírez took leadership roles at Banorte, a period defined by significant growth and transformation for the organization.
During the event, Carlos Hank González and Marcos Ramírez held a meeting with journalists, offering insights into the current landscape and Banorte’s strategic direction.
Hank González expressed his optimism about Mexico’s future and highlighted the country’s strategic position: “We are excited and committed.
